New name, same dedication: Wetac will be Intercel as of Januari 1st 2026

Ede, November 3, 2025 – Wetac, a trusted specialist in batteries and energy solutions, is pleased to announce that as of January 1, 2026, the company will be part of Intercel Group and continue under a new name: Intercel.

The change marks the next step in the integration between Wetac and Intercel, two leading Dutch companies that joined forces earlier this year to accelerate growth and innovation in the European battery market. Together they form the Intercel Group, offering a complete portfolio of battery and energy solutions: from Motive and Standby power to Storage and Electrification systems.

New name, same dedication

The name may change, but the people, service and dedication to put customers first remains the same. Customers will continue to work with the same trusted team and enjoy the same high standards of quality, reliability and support they have always known from Wetac. We will continue building long term relationships with an endless amount of energy.

What this means for our customers and suppliers

For customers and suppliers, day-to-day collaboration will remain unchanged. You will continue to work with the same contact persons, locations and service teams.

Some administrative details, such as company names and billing information, will change as of January 1st. Customers and suppliers will receive personal communication by email with all practical information before the end of this year.
