Wetac and Intercel join forces to accelerate growth across Europe
We’re excited to inform you that as of April 7 two leading Dutch companies in the rapidly growing market for lead and lithium battery powered solutions, Wetac and Intercel, will join forces to accelerate growth across Europe. This marks a major step in the growth journey of both companies. The aim is to be fully integrated per January 2026, at which point both companies will operate under the ‘Intercel Group’ name.
Two companies, one future
Both Wetac and Intercel have a strong foundation in place and are well-known for top-quality products, excellent service, and a strong value-for-money proposition. Together we play leading roles in four key segments:
• Motive (cyclic batteries for sectors like mobility, cleaning, agri, etc.),
• Standby (back-up power for UPS in telecom & datacentres, healthcare, security, etc.),
• Storage (energy storage systems for net congestion, peak shaving, etc.),
• Electrification (custom lithium battery solutions for the electrification of machinery).
